Experiences: Dr Praveen Rathod has more than 10 years of experience in the management of gynaecological cancers. He completed MD, Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the National Premier Institute (PGIMER) in Chandigarh. The super specialty training MCh-Gynaec Oncology from Premier Kidwai Cancer Institute, Bengaluru, the first batch of MCh-Gyn Oncology from RGUHS University, and the International Fellowship in GYN Oncology in Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo NY, USA. The laparoscopic training from BEST Institute & Research Centre, Bengaluru. He is specialised in performing the laparoscopic and cytoreductive surgeries for the uterine cancers, ovarian tumours, radical surgeries for the cervical cancers, valval cancers, and the planning and administering intravenous & intraperitoneal chemotherapy for the gynaecological cancers. He has published more than 25 articles as an author / co-author in International & National indexed journals, and a reviewer to the various indexed journals. He is an invited faculty speaker and operative surgeon in various National live workshops, CME and an invited faculty speaker in International conferences. An active member of various academic National and International Gynaecological Cancer Societies. He was a clinical visitor to Gynaec cancer services departments at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre (MSKCC), New York, USA, and La Fe Hospital, Valencia, Spain. He has been awarded 1st prize for a laparoscopic surgery video presentation by the IASO NATCON Society in a second Indian Cancer Congress International Conference, and received two International grant awards to present papers in Kyoto, Japan, December-2013, and at Melbourne, Australia, November-2014 by Asian Society of Gynaecological Oncologists (ASGO) and International Gynaecological Cancer Society (IGCS) respectively. The current professional status as an associate professor at a Kidwai regional cancer institute involves teaching & training the postgraduate students of the MCh- Gynaec Oncology & external postings MCh - Surgical Oncology, DM- medical Oncology, MD(OBG) specialties,  and observers national/international post MD doctors.
